Jim Parker replied to jim justice's discussion machine quilting problem
"Hi Jim. I never liked using a walking foot, too slow for me. If you're primarily SITD, why not do what I do, and just drop your feeddogs, snap on a free-motion foot, and do your stitching that way? Less drag on the fabric; you can go so much…"

Golden Temple

The image of the Golden Temple "Kinkakuji" in the northern part of Kyoto was the inspiration for this quilt, originally by Kazuko Wada. Recreated in Jinny Beyer fabrics. Machine pieced and quilted on a domestic Bernina machine. 172x172 cms.

"Hi Jim, It is so annoying and frustrating when this sort of thing happens with no apparent cause, but if you are using a new needle, decent thread, a reasonable size stitch and a walking foot and it is still scrunching the backing fabric, then I can…"

Welcome to The Community!

I created this site to give Men the chance to promote their quilting and share their experiences with the rest of the quilting community. Add as much content to this site as you wish. Think of it as your own little piece of the quilting world. Your personal getaway with other guys who quilt.

Ning has locked this group at a maximum of 150 members but I have 50 more guys pending. I DID NOT want to limit the number of members so I upgraded the account for $199/yr. I feel this site is well worth that in value to each and every one of us. Please consider donating to keep this site up and running.

EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!
CHEERS!

Upload as many Photos as you wish! We all love seeing your work.

Use the Forum section to swap fabric, quilts and more. Also a good place to ask questions on techniques that you've been dying to know.

Use the Blogs section to tell us about your latest project or even some of the challenges you may be facing as a quilter.

Use the Events section to tell the rest of us about upcoming retreats, gatherings or events you may be attending.
