An Online Community for Man Quilters
This is my latest work in progress. It is inspired from a picture of an old abandoned country church in Ontario, Canada.
The door itself is handpainted and pieced together. Above the door the "stained glass" is clear vinyl and theatrical gels. The "leading" is thin ribbon appliqued down. The bricks are a painted batik with tiny circles of thread for the mortar.
The hinges are timtex covered with batik and painted.
I still need to add vines, leaves and branches.
I hope to have this ready for Paducah next year.
