Anyone make crumb blocks from their scraps? Make enough crumb blocks to make a quilt? Got any pictures?
I have a bin of triangles, cuttings, and strips of asian fabrics that I decided this week to try and make some crumb blocks, or maybe a mile-a-minute blocks. My problem is I have some 3" - 5" pieces that have a motif I want to keep - a flower, a bird, ... So my blocks are not square, and they are getting large, like rectangles. Not sure how I am going to put these together,…

Don't throw that away!!! It's heartbreaking.
Ok. Maybe this blog is more of vent, but I have just saved 2 quilt tops and 2 sets of orphan blocks and working on more.
Can you believe that someone at a garage sale gave me a king size quilt top of bow ties, ALL HAND PIECED? Apparently his grandmother made them and he said, Take 'em I have no use for them. I showed the pieces to a quilter and my quilting friends and we have all concluded that it would have taken 3 years…
