Anyone make crumb blocks from their scraps? Make enough crumb blocks to make a quilt? Got any pictures?

I have a bin of triangles, cuttings, and strips of asian fabrics that I decided this week to try and make some crumb blocks, or maybe a mile-a-minute blocks. My problem is I have some 3" - 5" pieces that have a motif I want to keep - a flower, a bird, ... So my blocks are not square, and they are getting large, like rectangles. Not sure how I am going to put these together, so I am looking for suggestions.

See below for a couple of sample blocks I am working on.
